The role involves the ability to work with limited supervision on more complex tasks, including the assembly of large modular units, subassemblies, and the integration of systems.Essential Functions and Responsibilities· Proficiently handle and maintain tools specifically designed for large-scale assembly tasks.· Interpret and execute intermediate assembly instructions for large and complex components.· Perform precise measurements on large-scale assemblies, ensuring proper alignment and fit.· Assist in the assembly of large-scale units, such as frames, panels, and other major components.· Engage in troubleshooting activities to resolve issues related to the fit, alignment, and integration of large components.· Implement TPS concepts to streamline the assembly process for large-scale projects.· Participate in Kaizen events to improve processes related to large-scale assembly.· Ensure safe practices when assembling, lifting, and moving large components.· Display a thorough understanding of safety procedures, including PPE usage, for large-scale assembly environments.· Follow intermediate quality control plans, focusing on the integrity of large-scale assemblies.· Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, especially when coordinating the assembly of large modules.· Report issues related to the assembly of large-scale components to supervisors clearly and promptly.· Contribute to documentation of large-scale assembly processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.· This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties and responsibilities. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.Role Specific Competencies· Kitting products for shipment or for installation.· Perform intermediate cable terminations and testing.· Apply labels to products accurately· Understand assembly instructions with minimal oversite· Assemble sub-assemblies and components from drawings with minimal oversite.· Use equipment for material movement.· Use manufacturing tools and equipment.· Work efficiently installing fasteners and parts.· Work in a team environment on production lines.· Active role with team with problem solving.Minimum Qualifications· High School diploma or GED equivalent.2 year of experience· Ability to work specified shift and show up on time.· Must be 18 years of age.· This is a 40 hour per week position.· Prior experience installing multiple parts or assemblies· Overtime work expected when needed.· Ability to mentor junior employees to be successful· Trade school education a plus.Physical RequirementsLift at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period.Relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.Work at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.Walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
