DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYAssemble parts as specified on work orders approved by Engineering and Production Control based on customer requirements.RESPONSIBILITIESRead work orders with attention to detailOperate drill press and riveting machineUse of small hand tools and measuring devices such as calipers & gaugesMonitor supplies and items used noting expiration dates, customer specifications and safety policiesPerform routine maintenance and equipment inspection as requiredKeep assembly shop area clean and free of debrisServe as the backup and overflow support for paint as neededPerform other duties as requiredJOB REQUIREMENTSMust be able to stand, walk (on concrete surfaces), bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and liftMust be able to lift/push/pull objects up to 35 pounds, heavier objects require assistanceAbility to adhere to safety policiesStrong math skills and high accuracy when measuringDetail OrientedMust have working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing (basic oral instructions, simple written memos and instructions)EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or GED Required1-3 years Previous Manufacturing ExperienceRBC Bearings is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
