Job Description SummaryJob DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities:Responsible for performing various sub assembly operations using a variety of hand and power tools to support engine core module assembly.Essential ResponsibilitiesAssembly of details on parts utilizing various toolsWork from complex product drawings, manuals, and specificationsAdherence to Operator Acceptance Procedures (OAP)Inspect finished product and identify defectsSet-up, operate, adjust and troubleshoot all tools and equipment used in the assembly processUtilizes precision measuring instruments to inspect partsMaintains accurate work recordsWillingness to support team concept and learn/perform other duties as requiredMaintains standards for 6S and tool controlRecognizes process variation, adjusts accordingly while maintaining compliant work practices, and consistently produces conforming hardwareMaintains productivity standardsWillingness to work outside normal work hours to support assembly requirementsQualifications/RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GEDThe qualified associate who assumes these responsibilities will be expected to:Understand how to identify and effectively use a variety of power and hand toolsRead, understand and utilize procedures, detailed computerized build plans, and basic mathematical calculationsAbility to perform precise and detailed workCommunicate effectively and professionally with others, both written and verbal within the teamFollow and promote safe work practicesPlease note: this is a 3rd shift position.Additional InformationGE offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
