Due to our steady growth, we have immediate openings for Entry Level Mechanics. This position is located within our Flexible Assembly Operation at our Livonia, MI facility. Flexible Assembly provides assembly services to many of the leading-edge companies in the automotive industry. Products we produce for our customers consist of Off-Road tactical military vehicles, Self-driving / Autonomous vehicles & Electric vehicles just to name a few. These low volume, highly technical projects make for a very exciting work environment where you learn cutting edge technology on a regular basis. Full time / direct hire employment opportunities may be available to the right candidates. Qualifications
- 1 year of recent hands-on assembly experience in an Automotive Manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have basic understanding of automotive systems
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Must be able to use manual tools and power equipment safely
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to problem solve
- Must have good organizational skills
- Must have good attention to detail
- Must possess the skills to read, comprehend and execute written procedures
- Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and willing to learn
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must have excellent attendance and be willing to work overtime/weekends when needed
Preferred Skills
- Previous automotive mechanic or co-op experience preferred
- utomotive electrical systems experience a plus
- Candidates are encouraged to have a basic set of mechanical tools, but not required for this position.
- Experience working with EV's is a plus
