POSITION OVERVIEW dormakaba is seeking a second shift (2:30PM - 11:00PM) Assembler based in Reamstown, PA. The Assembler is responsible for performing assembly and packaging tasks required in the manufacturing process of automatic doors. HOURLY HIRING RANGE:
$20/hr. - $25/hr including a $1.00/hr. shift differential plus mandatory overtime as needed (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data). $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview) WHAT YOU WILL DO - Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Assemble subassemblies and components for correct fit including headers, jambs, transoms, and door panels to established specifications
- Package product to established standards - headers, jambs transoms and door panels. Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs, where necessary
- Use hand tools to assemble and measure required parts
- Verify specifications by measuring completed component and reject if established quality standards are not met
- Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
WHAT WE REQUIRE - High school diploma and/or GED certification
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- General assembly skills
- Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
