Job Type Full-time Description The Assembler I is a crucial member of the production team, responsible for assembling electrical components, sub-assemblies, and finished units. This role ensures high-quality standards and efficiency in assembly operations, supporting the production of both standard and custom electrical assemblies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •Assemble electrical cables and subassemblies accurately and efficiently, following detailed instructions and diagrams. •Assist in the layout and assembly of standard and special electrical assemblies, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications. •Maintain adequate parts stocked on the production floor to ensure uninterrupted assembly processes. •Perform cleaning and preventative maintenance on tools and equipment as required, ensuring they are in optimal working condition. •Assist engineering teams with the assembly of prototypes, providing feedback on assembly processes. •Support customer service by addressing and resolving problems in the field related to assembly issues. •Follow directions from cell leads and engineers, building sub-assemblies and finished units according to drawings, schematics, blueprints, and work instructions. •Perform necessary checkout procedures on assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. •Maintain a 5S workstation, promoting a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Maximize the concepts of Lean Manufacturing to enhance productivity and reduce waste. •Other duties as assigned Requirements EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: •High School Diploma or equivalent required. •1+ years' of experience in assembling mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical assemblies. •Experience using hand crimpers, cutters, wrenches, and other assembly tools preferred. •Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and reports. •Basic understanding of electrical assembly and mechanical assembly techniques. •Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision. •Manual dexterity to handle small parts and assembly tools.
