Job Type Full-time Description Performs a wide variety of assembly operations to create precision electro-mechanical assemblies. Uses precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance with blueprint specifications and tolerances. Essential Functions:
- Follows sequence of operations in performing manual assembly, hand soldering.
- Uses precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance with blueprint specifications and tolerances.
- Works with a microscope for extended periods of time to solder and assemble delicate rotary joint products.
- Works regularly from prints and drawings and utilizing parts lists to match work orders/routers, following process specifications, and utilizing standard measuring tools to follow customer specifications and then accurately fill out supporting documentation.
- Masking, demasking and ink marking of parts.
- Hand torch soldering.
- Safety, Health and Environmental compliance are included as part of everyday activities.
Requirements Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or Accredited GED
- 0-3 years of Assembly experience
- US Citizen (or must be authorized to work in the US for any employer)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent dexterity with hand to eye coordination for very small parts
- Blueprint reading
- Knowledge of in-process Assembly procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic mathematical aptitude required for part dimensioning and stack up
- Flexibility to work overtime as required
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- J-STD-001 certified soldering experience.
- Previous electronics/microelectronics assembly experience.
- Basic computer skills.
Training Requirements:
- General Safety
- Experience working in Lean cellular work centers
- ISO Quality Management Systems Awareness
- Soldering certificate to ANSI J-STD-001
- Foreign Object Debris (FOD) Training
Physical Demands:
- 80% Sitting at Workstation using precision hand tools
- 20% Standing/walking
- Good eyesight, correctable to 20/20 vision
- Continuous mental and visual attention to details on repetitive precision tasks
