**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

- Carries out bench work involving the process of soldering and small piece assembly, as well as other product specific procedures

- Assembles small metal parts and enclosures, components, and circuit boards using hand tools such as screw drivers, torque wrenches, soldering tools, heat guns, and specialized assembly tools.

- Solders resistors and other electronic components to a printed circuit board including stripping and tinning of wires and cables and soldering the wires to electrical connectors

- Solders both thru hole and surface mount boards to include adding resistors, modifying boards and changing electronic components

- Active participation in team-based culture and Lean initiatives, including 6S program

- Ability to train and answers questions from Assembler I

- Labels and properly handles non-conforming products

- Ensure punctual, reliable and acceptable attendance

- Able to work in two or more cells

- Perform other duties as required

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**

- Read and comprehend work instructions in written and spoken English

- Have good vision including ability to recognize all colors

- Have soldering and de-soldering skills

- Working knowledge of IPC 610 standards

- Read and interpret blueprints

- Able to maintain records of material, supplies, time and work performed and understand and use assembly instructions and diagrams

- Skilled at performing repetitive work according to set procedures while completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.

- Able to understand and follow instructions and work successfully with supervision

- Able to operate a personal computer with a general understanding of application software and have familiarity with computers and calculators

- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number common fractions or decimals
