dormakaba is seeking an Assembler to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This position will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks that support assembly and production of hollow metal door products. The Assembler may work in a variety of workstations such as: assembly line/operator, door hanging/packing, glue machine operator, poly handler/operator, channel forming installer, labeler, and ring/channel welder. This is a mechanical position under the supervision of the Production Supervisor. * Performs various assembly or sub-assembly operations
* Works on assembly line where tasks and job duties may vary
* Follows and builds job orders according to customer specifications
* Retrieves the door parts necessary for completion of finished door product
* Checks for quality and dimensional accuracy
* Operates simple hand or power tools to modify required door materials
* Handles materials such as metal, poly, etc.
* Upholds all safety standards applicable to the responsibilities above
* Must be able to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions for standard work
* Must possess basic computer skills
* Basic math skills required
* Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Must demonstrate basic problem-solving skills
* Good organizational skills related to managing paperwork and time
* 0-1 year of general work experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
* Previous manufacturing experience, preferred
