Assembler - Laser Welder Chelmsford, MA - MFC - *4/10 schedule, 1st shift position* *Active Secret Clearance preferred, willing to consider candidates with a previously held active clearance. Interim Secret Clearance required to start position.* Seeking a skilled Laser Welder. Responsibilities include performing laser welding of microelectronic assemblies to create hermetic seals, utilizing automated machines, leak checking, operating vacuum ovens and thermal chambers, and working with mechanical presses, inert gas mixture gloveboxes, and solder vacuum furnaces. Additionally, troubleshooting of assemblies that do not pass leak checks and other various microelectronic assembly work will be part of the role. Basic Required Qualifications: • 3 or more years of experience operating laser welding equipment for hermetic sealing • Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods • Ability to read and work from detailed process sheets and drawings • Computer skills for retrieval of drawings, work instructions, and other job activities • Ability to utilize hand tools such as torque drivers, tweezers, and other similar instruments • Good dexterity and eye/hand coordination • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly without compromising quality •Active or inactive secret clearance • First Shift Hours 6:00am to 4:30pm Desired skills: • Ability to work in a diverse team environment • Excellent interpersonal, teaming, and communication skills • Experience with J-STD-001 • Familiarity working in an ESD and FOD-controlled environment • Experience in mechanical assembly processes of small electronic devices • Experience working on military products in ISO 9001 / AS9100 controlled environment
