**JOB DESCRIPTION:**

Matrix is looking for an experienced mechanical assembler to work in an open, friendly environment. As our assembler, you will:

* Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products

* Perform quality work checks to ensure that product meets defined quality standards

* Identify product defects and communicate defects to supervisor

* Rework/repair assembled equipment and products according to specifications

* Maintain safe and clean work area

**JOB REQUIREMENTS:**

* Previous assembly experience preferred

* Basic reading, comprehension and math skills are essential

* Ability to use both standard and metric measurements

* Possess own tools, preferred

* Ability to take direction and correction to ensure quality

* Willingness to perform other tasks as needed and directed

* Attention to detail

* Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management
