Job Title: Assembler Location: Sylmar, CA Duration: 3 months, with possible extension based on business needs and performance Shift: 5:00 AM - 2:30 PMJob Description: The Assembler will perform complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, equipment, and accessories using both manual and automated tools. This role supports the fabrication and production of solar cells and panels, primarily for space applications.Position Responsibilities:

• Execute fabrication and production processes for solar cells, including:
  • Photolithography
  • Cap Etch/Window Clean
  • Thinning
  • Lift-Off
  • Evaporation
  • Sinter
  • Saw-Dice
  • Lot Code
  • Electrical Testing
  • Microscope Inspection
  • Silicon Diode processes
• Operate MOCVD vacuum systems and handle Metal Organic materials and X-Ray Diffraction for semiconductor growth.
• Perform precise technical assembly work involving:
  • Hand soldering
  • Wire harness assembly
  • Component bonding
  • Microscope inspection of small parts
• Utilize tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, and soldering irons.
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation.
• Adhere to company policies, particularly in relation to safety regulations.
• Use computer programs like Microsoft Excel and Word to look up and record information.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Contribute to a positive team atmosphere with effective communication skills.
• Work overtime as required.
• Sit or stand for more than 8 hours daily.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
• Wear a smock, hair cover, and gloves.
• Requires accurate visual acuity for inspection under microscopes.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• High School Diploma or equivalent (or military/work experience).
• Minimum of 6 months' experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience using SAP.

Education / Experience:

• Education or experience typically acquired through a High School diploma/GED and 1+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience such as vocational school or Associate's degree.
