Aerotek is hiring Assembly Line TechnicianJob DescriptionPerform all functions, except welding, in assigned department stations and feeder areas. Flex to other work stations and assembly lines. Assemble mechanical support assemblies to specifications and identify all parts. Practice and sustain 5's methods, know material ordering systems, and proper sealing procedures for all products. Understand motor sizes, read data plates, and know plumbing and electrical work of units. Work from ladders up to 20 feet, familiarize with knock down packing and crating, and install special accessories on units. Follow ISO procedures, policies, and instructions to ensure quality. Mentor and drive LEAN principles, improve safety performance, and achieve departmental safety goals. The noise level is usually loud and hearing protection is required. 95% of the work is inside, but large bay doors are often open, exposing you to weather elements like cold in winter and heat in summer. Housekeeping is done per shift, but expect to be dirty at the end of your shift. Must have steel toe or composite toe boots (self-supplied) and proper PPE. Client-supplied PPE includes ear plugs, safety glasses/goggles or side shields for approved prescription glasses, gloves, and arm shields.
