Our Golden location allows for easy commutes and excellent leisure time activities.The Assembler position is responsible for building and assembling Spyderco products that meet specifications in functionality, safety, and qualityMonday - Friday 7Am - 4 PMCompensation: $19-20/hr.Essential FunctionsEfficiently assemble products according to work order and procedure guideConducts functional, safety and quality checks using appropriate procedures, tools, and/or control piecesPackage and label completed projectsUse required tools and fixtures to assemble product (Example: electric drivers, hand drivers, and tapping tools)Required to troubleshoot and report any on-going product difficultiesUnderstands and builds knowledge based on product components and terminologyTakes initiative on written and verbal communicationsAdapts to process changes and improvementsReceives and applies constructive quality and process feedbackMaintains a clean environment and 5S StandardsEffectively communicates with Assembly LeadMust be able to grasp, pinch, complete repetitive motions frequentlyMust be able to carry items, climb stairs, lift objects as necessaryComfortable working in a noisy environment.Additional ResponsibilitiesReport to Lead and machine or equipment issuesInform Lead on which supplies are needed to complete the projectAssist with process improvements and problem solvingEffectively communicate with Quality Assurance as directed for first articlesAssist other departments as assigned (Example; tapping and finishing)Work Experience - Preferred3 years or more Assembly Experience3 years or more Hand Tools/Torque Drivers3 years or more Working In Production/Manufacturing EnvironmentRequirementsMust be quality orientedExcellent dexterityMechanically inclinedAbility to receive constant feedbackAbility to understand how to apply techniques and processes (spine whack, side to side and vertical play, etc)Ability to read and understand written instructionsBasic computer skillsComprehensive benefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, Life, LTD, Colonial, 401K + Match, Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off.This is a great opportunity to learn a new skill while working for a growing, world-class company.
