Assembles protection, communication, and control devices, such as switches, relays, solenoids, and control systems, as laid out in drawings and wiring diagrams by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSUses fixtures, machines, presses, and tools to assemble parts according to prints and router including, electronic components, gears, wound coils, terminals, and switches.Routing wires, cutting, and soldering wires to connect electrical units using hand tools and various soldering techniques.Inspect and test wire assemblies using, ohmmeter, or resistance tester to test connections for resistance, shorts, and grounds.Adjusts contacts, stakes units, adjusts springs, and shafts to meet specifications.Maintain production report, while tracking and identifying component status.Detail painting and/or engraving of parts as needed.Performs other related duties and special projects as required and assigned by the Department Manager.REQUIRED SKILLSAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Assist with systems based on Lean principles and practices to meet or exceed the requirements of the established QMS and all other standards required to serve our target markets.Knowledge of the Quality Management System policies, goals, and objectives after training.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty at a high level of proficiency and within our core value system.Assertiveness – Ability to act in a self-confident manner to facilitate completion of a work assignment or to defend a position or idea.Motivation – Ability to inspire oneself and others to reach a goal and/or perform to the best of their ability.Safety Awareness – Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee's safety.Accountability – Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.Communication/Oral – Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.Analytical Skills – Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems.Problem Solving – Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.Technical Aptitude – Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.Dependable - Must consistently demonstrate dependability, a great work ethic, initiative, ownership of issues, problem-solving abilities, and an exceptional attitude.Flexibility - Demonstrate the ability to be flexible, accept new ideas and input positively, and be open to new work approaches and processes.This position requires a person who is highly attentive to detail and has good hand-eye coordination.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSA High School Diploma or equivalent.5+ years of work experience within a manufacturing setting servicing electronics component, industrial, and aerospace markets.
