Job Type Full-time Description The Production Assembler does assembly or adjusting of a semi-repetitive nature where relatively simple or similar techniques are required, using a variety of hand and simple power tools. Involves an intermediate degree of skill and job experience. Approximately one year of related work preferred. May involve working from simple drawings, diagrams, specifications, etc., or similar work requiring considerable physical effort. Work is normally performed under close supervision. Requirements MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Requires knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma/GED.
- One year previous experience in manufacturing is preferred.
- Ability to read materials to understand and apply content such as manuals, procedure manuals, or assembly materials.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Ability to write to accomplish such tasks as completing forms or communicating simple instructions.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, metrics.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks as assigned by others with occasional direction.
- Ability to communicate to explain or interpret well-defined business issues or procedures, following established patterns.
- Responsible for keeping a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Provide assistance and cooperation with fellow associates.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety rules.
- Basic mechanical skills, use of hand tools, measuring devices, and power tools once trained.
- Basic understanding of the metric system and use of tape measures.
- Ability to work together as a team to achieve productivity goals.
- Requires manual dexterity, good eye/hand coordination.
- Physical ability to meet demands of the position including, standing, carrying, lifting, pushing, and pulling and overall physical strength and dexterity.
- Willingness to cross train for different job tasks in the area.
- Possess a pride in workmanship and your attention to detail.
