Job Description:

Job Title: AssemblerJob DescriptionAs an Assembler, you will read and interpret shop drawings, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Manufacturing to determine component parts and assembly sequences of electromechanical units. You will make electrical connections on cords/wires according to specifications, modify parts by drilling, tapping, countersinking, and more using machine tools, power, and pneumatic hand tools. You will assemble parts, position, align, and fasten assemblies and subassemblies using hand and power tools. Additionally, you will measure parts to determine tolerances using tape measures and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers. You will also attach labels, mark identifying information on parts, and inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.Hard SkillsExperience in manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, construction, or similarHigh School Diploma or GEDElectrical experience for Bus Way PlugsAbility to use hand and power tools and read a tape measure for Bus Way StraightsExperience with inventory tracking using computer systems for warehouse rolesSoft SkillsConsistent work historyDesire to work in a production environmentJob TypeThis is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in CANONSBURG, Pennsylvania.Work EnvironmentThis is a very clean work environment. Candidates will work at small assembly stations and be 3-5 feet away from other employees. Flexibility and willingness to work in other work areas/departments are required. Some areas of the shop are considered a warehouse environment where candidates will move around materials and cut materials with small hand and power tools. This is a large facility with over 200 employees. Shifts include 1st (M-F 7:00AM - 3:00PM), 2nd (M-F 3:00PM - 11:00PM), and 3rd (M-TH 8:30PM - 7:00AM). There is mandatory overtime 3 out of every 4 Saturdays. The dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt (no muscle t-shirts), and steel-toed shoes (no open-toed shoes).About Aerotek:We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
