General Description - In accordance with established work instructions, assemble compressed air products and packages, including both mechanical and/or electrical assembly, using available tools and equipment.
Roles and Responsiblities -
Perform general assembly and modifications of compressor packages systems and individual compressors, blowers, dryers, filters and other compressed air related products.
Test, perform troubleshooting, and repair products once assembled.
Train for assembly of various products and cross-train to other assembly lines.
Utilize Company-approved manufacturing techniques and procedures to ensure that the flow of work is conducted in a timely manner.
Responsible for high standard of work that meets organizational goals towards on time delivery efficiency, performance and quality.
Report bill of material issues during assembly to Engineering by completing a BOM deviation and/or other forms.
Utilize a NCR Form to document any problems that compromise the quality and/or performance of parts, assemblies and/or finished units.
Perform the rigorous physical labor in hot and cold environments that will include, but not limited to, bending, lifting (up to a maximum of 50 pounds and in compliance with the company's Manual Lifting policy), climbing, installing, pulling and general assembly.
Uphold the Company's 6S program standards by maintaining cleanliness of the plant, including sweeping, recycling, and trash removal.
Complete daily and weekly safety compliance and 6S logs.
In conjunction with OSHA law and/or requirements, apply the SafeStart safety training process when performing all work in order to reinforce practical safety training techniques, maintain awareness and prevent injury.
Follow the Atlas Copco Safety First policy with the vision of zero work related accidents. Take all necessary actions to employ sustainable processes to safeguard the company's targets for Quality/Environment/Safety, Health and Energy/Resource Efficiency.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications -
Experience - 2-5 years of technical training or equivalent experience.
Education - High School diploma with some technical training in mechanical and/or electrical systems a plus. Forklift certification is required.
Skills - Must have strong mechanical and electrical skills and the ability to read and understand blueprints, schematic, and work instructions. Must also be able to work independently. Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to all weather conditions. Willing to work overtime hours, as necessary and required to meet business needs.
