Assembler Job description:
Hand assembly: able to read prints and data sheets understanding directions of parts and component sizes. Working with heat plates and soldering irons. Must be able to sit most of the day. Must have attention to detail skills. Ability to effectively follow company systems and procedures. knowledge of IPC-610 standards is a help. Support and follow workmanship standards related to the company's Quality management system. They will work with a variety of electronic parts, such as resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and circuit boards, to build electronic systems and products. Hand-soldering experience is a plus. Willing to train the right candidate.
- Through-Hole Assembler: Through-hole assemblers specialize in assembling electronic components that have leads (pins) that are inserted into holes in the circuit board. They work with components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, and connectors, which are manually inserted into the appropriate holes and soldered on the opposite side of the board.
- Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Assembler: SMT assemblers focus on assembling electronic components that are surface-mounted directly onto the circuit board. They work with smaller, more compact components such as integrated circuits (ICs), surface mount resistors, capacitors, and other miniaturized parts. SMT assemblers use automated or manual equipment, such as pick-and-place machines or tweezers, to precisely place the components onto the board before soldering.
