Truck Body Assembler Summary:The Truck Body Assembler works in a fast-paced production line manufacturing truck body. These positions use hand tools, ladders, and power tools to complete large scale portions of a truck body to meet daily and weekly production goals. Truck Body Assembler Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Use hand and power tools to assemble truck bodies.
- Complete duties in a timely manner.
- Operate stationary and overhead cranes.
- Safely work on and off a ladder.
- Install wiring and lighting
- Operate saw, rivet gun and other appropriate tools
- Maintain clean and safe workspace, while achieving productivity and quality standards.
Truck Body Assembler Required Education, Knowledge & Skills:
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately down to 1/16th is required
- Must be reliable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, written direction, and work orders.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to communicate clearly
- Requires ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Requires ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and kneel
- Specific vision ability required includes close, distance, color, and peripheral vision with depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
