Job Description
As an Assembler I in Assembly, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and/or electrical/electronic systems to create subassemblies, assemblies, or complete units. You will use hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment to accomplish these tasks. Additionally, you will fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements, as well as repair units or products that have failed to meet standards.
Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and/or electrical/electronic systems to create subassemblies, assemblies, or complete units.
Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment to perform assembly tasks.
Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements.
Repair units or products that have failed to meet standards.
Essential Skills
Ability to follow detailed and defined rules/instructions.
Basic technical knowledge related to the tasks performed in the discipline area.
Capability to use hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge acquired through experience, specialized education, or training.
Ability to make simple judgments in straightforward situations.
No prior experience required.
