Primary duties involve threaded assembling but also include operating fabrication equipment to include but not limited to grinders, saws, drills, power tools, hand tools and threading machine.May perform other duties assigned by supervisor. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Fabrication Production Manager Works integrally with other employees and independently. QualificationsWORK REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to efficiently operate various hand and power tools.
- Clean piping and tubing arrangements for welding.
- Must be proficient in the use of bevelers, pipe-threaders and other end prep machines.
- Cut, thread, assemble and install a variety of metal including tubes and fittings.
- Assists in performing and responding to work orders associated with building equipment.
- Measures, fabricates, and fits up buttweld, socket weld, V grove pipe, valves, hangers, and threaded piping systems.
- Measures, cuts, threads, and hangs pipe. Makes threaded, flanged or similar joints.
- Makes brackets, hangers, and holding devices to hold pipe in place.
- Make proper time charge entries and record data as required. Identify parts in accordance with the method specified.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction; take responsibility for own actions; keep commitments and complete tasks on time.
- Must be able to follow all EHSS policies and procedures.
- Must be punctual and possess a strong work ethic.
- Will be required to work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Will be required to keep shop and work area clean by performing daily housekeeping duties.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Proven experience with threaded assemblies.
- Experience working with and understanding Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work instructions.
- Proven ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to stand for long periods; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl to reach hard to get at work areas.
- Must be able to work in hot/cold/damp/cramped environments.
- Must be able to lift 50 LBS.
- Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
- Experience using mega-press and threaded gas piping a plus.
- Must be able to follow all basic skills, responsibilities, and accountabilities.
- This is a safety sensitive position.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED
