Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Sheridan, Indiana. This role involves the final assembly of large CNC machines, utilizing a variety of hand and power tools. The assembler will spend the bulk of their time putting the machine together piece by piece after it is received from the weld shop, then performing the final quality steps including administering body filler, sanding, priming, painting, and wrapping the product for shipment. There is a long-term advancement opportunity to also learn how to wire the machines.
Responsibilities
Assemble large CNC machines using hand and power tools.
Perform final quality checks, including administering body filler, sanding, priming, painting, and wrapping the product for shipment.
Ensure all parts are correctly assembled based on customer specifications.
Maintain a commitment to safety and quality standards throughout the assembly process.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow.
Essential Skills
Proficiency with hand and power tools.
Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions.
High attention to detail.
Strong technical learning abilities.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Proven ability to use hand and power tools including: allen wrenches, sockets, drills, impacts, hand band saws.
Ability to read blueprints (training provided).
High attention to detail.
GED/HSD not required.
Shift & Pay
1st shift: 7AM - 3:30PM, with little to no OT
$22-24 , based on experience

Work Environment
The facility is clean, organized, and has new restrooms, office spaces, and a lobby area, as well as a recently paved parking lot. The facility is temperature-controlled and typically plays music over speakers throughout the shift. PPE and tools are provided as needed, including work gloves, protective glasses, and hearing protection. Steel-toe boots are required and must be provided by the employee.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00
