Learn more about our culture here.Job DescriptionABOUT THE JOBAssist in the assembly of basic folding walls, working to gain a further understanding of the Company's products and operations.YOUR ROLE:Assemble custom folding glass walls, windows, and doors, in alignment with the production schedule.Manufacture high quality panels in a safe manner, which meets or exceeds specific efficiency goals.Visually check parts and/or glass for scratches, dings, and dents prior to assembly.Proactively communicate when your jobs are ahead or behind schedule.Provide feedback, as needed, to help the team standardize details and assembly drawings.Follow all necessary procedures for glass handling, including proper operation of the overhead crane when needed.Handle and lift all material carefully to minimize scratches to material surrounding job carts.Notify the Lead team member/Supervisor of any issues encountered (missing subcomponents, damaged material, etc.).Provide suggestions for continuous improvement within the department.QualificationsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Previous experience with carpentry, product assembly, construction, and/or related education (ex. trade school or technical courses) required.Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs on a frequent basis is required.Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations, including ability to read a tape measure, is required.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Blueprint Reading experience.Ideal candidates will have related product assembly experience.Additional InformationAt Fortune Brands Innovations, we support the overall health and wellness of our associates by offering comprehensive, competitive benefits that prioritize all aspects of wellbeing and provide flexibility for our teammates' unique needs.
