Heavy Equipment Operator (Road Zipper) Job Description We are looking for a dedicated Heavy Equipment Operator and Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves operating heavy equipment, performing light maintenance tasks, and assisting diesel technicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and be comfortable working in various environmental conditions.
Responsibilities - Spend approximately 3 hours per day pulling 'the wall' out and in (1.5 hours at the start of the shift and 1.5 hours at the end of the shift).
- Perform light maintenance tasks throughout the day.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment.
- Wash machines and perform fluid changes.
- Carry out general cleaning duties.
- Assist diesel technicians as needed.
Essential Skills - Experience operating heavy equipment, such as a front-end loader.
- CDL Driver's license.
- Ability to perform maintenance and inspection tasks.
- Proficiency with hand tools and mechanical equipment assembly.
- Ability to read and understand schematics.
- Mechanical inclination and familiarity with power tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications - High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience operating freight or diesel trucks is advantageous but not required.
- Experience in mechanical assembly.

Work Environment You will work inside a warehouse and in some traffic areas. Be prepared to work in various weather conditions, including hot and cold environments. The role requires the use of hand tools and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The shift is from 3am to 12:30pm, with potential for about 10 hours of overtime per week if needed.
