Works from mechanical and electrical engineering drawings, work instructions, and shop routings to perform tasks.Must have ability to operate power tools, fabrication equipment, overhead cranes, and forklifts.Responsible for performing operational testing and ensures equipment meets test specifications.Must have ability to understand and interpret mechanical blueprints, work instructions, written procedures, oral and written instructions. Ability to work independently to meet production schedules. Ability to utilize shop math fundamentals and problem-solving techniques to resolve assembly issues.Experience or aptitude in operating and testing Industrial Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, servo-motor controls, cameras and/or laser scanners is a plus.Essential Duties and Percent of Time Spent:Must have mechanical aptitude to perform mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, hydraulic and pneumatic piping functions.40%Must have knowledge of assembly processes and fabrication techniques. Ability to sequence the final assembly of complete machines through the testing process.20%Must have knowledge to interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.15%Must be able to effectively communicate within a team environment. Ability to take oral and written instructions and complete tasks within the defined labor standards.10%Must adhere to all internal operating procedures and safety policies.
