Write the nextchapter of your ABB story.This position reports toProduction SupervisorYour role and responsibilitiesAssembles and/or manufactures equipment following standard work, various technical drawings, process specifications, or verbal instructions Must be able to work at any workstation and in any assigned cell area May be required to transport parts or equipment in and out of cell to other departments Records production and quality data at the cell as required Participates in kaizens and problem-solving sessions (kaizen events and continuous improvement activities) Readily recognizes quality defects in parts and subassemblies Understands and maintains work area under 6S guidelines May perform other related duties as assigned Will act as an assembly trainer once level of proficiency is reachedQualifications for the role* High School diploma or equivalent* Availability to work in any shift 1st, 2nd or 3rd as needed by the business* Ability to read and comprehend English instructions, assembly drawings, and procedure manuals and carry out detailed written or oral instructions* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.* Ability to operate a wide variety of small hand and power tools, wire strippers, crimping tools, soldiering* Familiar with workmanship criteria and able to recognize quality defects* Must be able to work extended hours and weekends if required* 2-5 years manufacturing experience / equivalent technical background and or associate degree/certifications in a technical field from an accredited institution* Ability to work in a dynamic environment developing skills to assemble electrification products across multiple lines* Capable/willingness to train others* Computer skills* Ability to read wire schematics* Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the USMore about usWe value people from different backgrounds.
