Assembler Ld 1

Position Overview: The Lead Assembler is responsible coordinating and supervising operations of the production line

Principal Responsibilities:

* Supervises and coaches shop personnel; monitors employee performance, attendance, and time records.

* Trains production line teams on equipment safety usage and warehouse house safety rules

* Performs production line tasks

* Coordinates work order tickets, processes and prepares daily shop production report

* Maintains quality assurance by inspecting assembly line, finished goods for quality workmanship, and the repair or dissemble of damaged or defective goods

* Consults with sales staff regarding special millwork items

* Other duties as described by manager

Role Requirements:

* High school diploma or GED and 1 - 3 years of experience or a combination of education and experience

* Familiarity with door components, finishing products and assembly techniques

* Ability to use manufacturing tools/machinery (chop saw, door machine, router, nail gun, etc.)

* Forklift certification (depending upon branch requirements)

* Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondences, and memos

Physical Demands:

Exceptional finger and manual dexterity required to successfully perform required tasks, including the ability to frequently lift up to 85 pounds and/or pushing 100 pounds, bend, crouch, stand, and sit for long durations.

Work Environment:

The work environment requires the employee to work regularly near moving mechanical parts and to be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee occasionally is exposed to harsh outside weather conditions. This position may require the employee to use safety equipment such as, protective eyewear, earplugs, gloves, safety shoes etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions
