About The Role Assemblers are critical to Spellman's success, creating the designs crafted by Engineering to meet our customer's rigorous requirements and quality expectations. You will assemble chassis, racks, and top assembly units by following drawings, procedures, manufacturing instruction operation sheets, Bill of Materials (BOM's) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN's). For more junior roles, you can expect to get some aid from a lead or supervisor.
What You Will Do - Wire, solder, fabricate and assemble High Voltage Power Supply units
- Assemble racks, chassis, and top assemblies
- Use schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering sketches, BOMs, ECNs, and verbal instructions to build printed circuit boards and subassemblies
- Rework (as necessary)
- Fabricate vector board circuits and enclosures from engineering sketches
- Work with sheet metal and polycarbonate material utilizing available machine shop hand and power tools (ex: table/band saws, brake, punches, etc.)
- May be required to follow other instructions and to perform other duties as requested by the supervisor and/or manager
- Aid other assemblers as required
- Fill out any associated paperwork such as configuration control travelers
What You Need - Prefer 3 years' minimum experience in the assembly of electro-mechanical devices.
- Prior industry experience in the Power Electronics field is highly desirable
- Excellent soldering skills. IPC 610 Solder Certification or J-Standard a strong plus
- Must be able to identify component symbols and read technical Engineering documents
- Proficiency with basic hand tools, torque tools, and hand crimp tools
Our good faith estimate of the wage range for this role is $18 - $29. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a full benefits package.

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and products up to 30 pounds. Shifts: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, typically. Willingness to work overtime (after hours and weekends) as needed.
