The Assembler position involves assembling intricate components in order to build high-performance motors that powers various products from HVAC systems to medical equipment to farm equipment and more!Essential Functions
Perform assembly processes to put together, join, and build mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies, according to specifications. Processes include using hand tools, hand or foot operated equipment, arbor presses or electronic and pneumatic machining with precision and accuracy.Gather and organize components and parts needed for motor assembly.Follow job instructions to ensure exacting standards of quality and performance.Inspect finished assemblies for defects, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and functionality...reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.Maintains a clean and organized workspace, following safety protocols and procedures at all times.Work EnvironmentAt our cozy manufacturing facility, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to conveyors and vibration. The employee may work with or near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment may be very loud depending on the area you are working in.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of an assembler, the employee is regularly required to stand or sit for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers for fine manipulation. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel; and talk or hear.The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Scheduled days and hours of work are as follows:2nd ShiftMonday through Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.Friday 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.Overtime schedule may cause variations in start time from week to week.
