Performs final inspection of product prior to shipment to customer. May perform additional packaging tasks including but not limited to: generating and placing labels on packages, operating small production equipment, component installation and fitting assembly units. The Assembler/Packer II can rotate throughout the different functional stations of the assembly processes from TeraFrame to Mixed Model line to Cabling Section to PDU Chassis to Accessories, etc. Responsible for meeting safety, quality and productivity expectations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Under minimal supervision, selects, inspects, assembles and/or packages product for final shipment to customer. Applies labels and palletizes per specifications.
  • Inspects and maintains workplace for compliance with safety requirements. Corrects any safety issue prior to performing operations.
  • Requisitions packaging material from warehouse, when necessary. Inspects material for shipping damage and/or supplier defects.
  • Inspects product per finished goods inspection procedure. Informs Team Leader of any component that needs to be reworked or scrapped.
  • Certifies that each product has completed Quality Assurance processes via Quality stamp
  • Works from blueprints, engineering specifications and production schedules.

  • Continuously maintains a clean work area. Disposes of trash and production scrap. Assists in cleaning common areas.
