Position Scope:
This position is responsible for assembling solid surfaces, (ex. Corian) The Candidate will operate various hand tools, use adhesives and clamps while assembling. The candidate will grind, sand, clean, and/or polish the surfaces to standard finish or as specified using hand tools and power tools, and/or to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Have the ability to take direction.
- Assembles fabricated parts to subassemblies and completes units.
- Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
- Refers to company diagrams and blue prints for instructions.
- Follows procedures in company handbook and other documents.
- Displays a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks.
- Maintains good attendance.
- Is dependable and displays a strong work ethic.
- Works within a team concept and contributes to a positive work environment.
- Demonstrates a professional attitude in approaching job assignment.
- Assures the work area and aisles are kept clean and free of debris.
- Maintains a safe work attitude and environment.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret a blueprint, shipping order, and pick list.
- Must be familiar with general assembly standards.
- Ability to memorize and recognize parts by number and finish.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Must be able to work to high quality level.
- Ability to do simple mathematical calculations.
- Good manual dexterity and hand eye coordination.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
- Ability to interpret job paperwork
