We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Assemblers to join our client's logistics team in Smithfield, NC. Assemblers will be primarily responsible for the accurate assembly of products in alignment with product specifications. Assemblers will need to have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining high standards quality in every assembly.Perks: Shift Differentials OfferedFirst Shift: 6am-2:30pm, $13.50Second Shift: 2pm-10:30pm, $14.50Third Shift: 9:30pm-6:00am, $15.00Scheduled Pay Increases$0.50 increase after 30 days$0.50 increase after 60 days$0.50 increase after 90 daysGrowth Potential:Pay increases and learning opportunities based on performance, attendance, and conversion eligibility.Responsibilities:-Complete required assembly activities for an assigned cell while consistently maintaining product quality and safe work practices-Meet and maintain daily production rates & goals as established and required by the company-Read and follow standard work instructions.-Keep Supervisor / Group Lead/Manufacturing Technicians informed of cell activity including but not limited to information related to quality, personal, parts supply, and safety issues that may occur within the scope of responsibility-Complete all required cell activities and documentation for assigned work cell as requested by supervisor.-Attend all required training-Assure a quality focus is maintained at all times-Address all quality and safety concerns via the appropriate channel for an assigned cell-Participate in all required continuous improvement activities as requested or required by the company-Utilize Lean concepts and provided tool tools in order to improve the production process-Assure work environment is clean, orderly and free of safety hazards at all times-Actively participate in all department projects, tasks, and objectives including but not limited to continuous improvement activities-Maintain the highest ethical standards as well as absolute personal and intellectual integrity, mature judgment, and innate cooperative nature.-Other activities as needed and requested-Must be able to use all required tools in an assigned work areaWorking hours: 6:00 AM - 9:30 PM (Various Shifts Available)Skills:-Demonstrated proficiency in English comprehension and expression both verbal and written-Sustain an acceptable attendance record by not exceeding 5 points per the OPW Retail Fueling Above Ground Attendance Policy-Adhere to all required company policies-Ability to work all scheduled and adjusted times, and or work overtime to accommodate production-Ability to effectively train associates and manage required documentationEducation/Experience-Meet and maintain daily production rates & goals as established and required by the company-Read and follow standard work instructions.-Have a high school diploma of equivalent-Willing and able to wear all required personal protective equipment-Standing for long periods of time-Bend/stoop, climb, reach above shoulder, kneel and squat occasionally-Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. manually on a repetitive basisEducation:High SchoolExperience:0-1 yearsQualifications:-Assembly or Manufacturing experienceIf you are looking for a great position to utilize your assembly skills and set yourself on a path for growth, this could be the opportunity for you!
