Department: Bus Fabrication Reports to: Bus Fabrication Lead/ Production Supervisor Classification: Non Exempt/Hourly Duties & Responsibilities Complete assemblies within goal hours Reference standards manuals, drawings, lists, and charts for accuracy Operate shear and power saws safely Assist crane operator if needed Work safely and report any unsafe conditions Keep workstation clean and organized Required Skills & Abilities Knowledge of power and hand tools Close attention to detail Excellent hand-eye coordination with good eyesight, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, assembly prints, packing lists, shop orders, and other written correspondence Ability to read assembly drawing and make basic mechanical modifications when needed Hold measurements to specific tolerance Ability to recognize quality expected and able to reproduce it Must have good knowledge fractions and decimals Able to use tape measure, calipers, micrometers, etc Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent Two years' experience in a production environment Preferred Personal Protection Equipment Training (PPE), Global Harmonization System Training (GHS), Lock Out- Tag Out Training, (LOTO) Onsite training available Tow Motor and Overhead Crane Certification Onsite training available Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs Ability to work safely and effectively in a production environment Equal Opportunity Employer/Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disability/Gender Identity/Sexual Orientation Specific Qualifications Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen, and when applicable if duties involve operating motor vehicle must be able to pass motor vehicle record check.
