These positions entail direct employment with the client that offers exceptional work culture, benefits, PTO, and growth potential.Job Summary:The Production Assembly Technician is responsible for completing assembly tasks within set goal hours while adhering to quality standards. This role involves working with various tools, interpreting blueprints and drawings, and ensuring the safe and effective operation of equipment in a production environment. The technician is also responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workstation and assisting with additional tasks as needed.Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly Completion: Complete assigned assemblies within designated goal hours, ensuring all work meets established quality standards.
- Reference Materials: Utilize standards manuals, drawings, lists, and charts to verify accuracy during the assembly process.
- Tool Operation: Operate shear and power saws safely and effectively; assist crane operators when necessary.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhere to all safety protocols, and promptly report any unsafe conditions.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Tool Proficiency: Proficient in the use of power and hand tools.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail in all tasks.
- Coordination and Vision: Excellent hand-eye coordination, with good eyesight, depth perception, peripheral vision, and color differentiation.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, including drawings, blueprints, assembly prints, packing lists, and shop orders.
- Mechanical Skills: Capable of interpreting assembly drawings and making basic mechanical modifications as needed.
- Measurement Accuracy: Ability to hold measurements to specific tolerances using tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
- Quality Recognition: Ability to recognize and consistently reproduce expected quality standards.
- Mathematical Proficiency: Strong understanding of fractions and decimals.
Education & Experience:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: At least two years of experience in a production environment is preferred.
- Certifications and Training:
- Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) Training
- Global Harmonization System (GHS) Training
- Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO) Training
- Tow Motor and Overhead Crane Certification
- Note: Onsite training is available for all certifications.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing: Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
- Physical Activity: Frequent squatting, kneeling, bending, stooping, twisting, turning, grasping, and reaching overhead and outward.
- Lifting: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Work Environment: Ability to work safely and effectively in a production environment.
