Assembly and Manufacturing Technician Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Physical ability to frequently life and move up to 25 pounds
  • Regular standing, walking, twisting, lifting, and bending throughout the day
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with hand tools
  • Familiarity with precision measurement tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Critical thinking skills and problem solving skills
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Welding experience a plus, but not required
Assembly and Manufacturing Technician Responsibilities
  • Disassemble and reassemble diesel fuel injection components and turbochargers
  • Create estimates for needed repairs
  • Test components to verify they meet OE standards
  • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
  • Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components
  • Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
  • Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
  • Maintain equipment in good condition
  • Keep records of production quantities and time
  • Report on issues, malfunction, or defective parts
