Job Description Performs a variety of component assembly operations, using hand tools and mechanically assisted operations, to produced assembles CVJ's. Rotates among various stations to person sub-assembly operations on an assigned product line. Coordinated with other team members for efficient assembly. Learns the typical 25-30 component parts making each product assembly, through on-the-job training. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Observes operation of machines and verifies conformance to specifications
- Records quality inspection data on check sheets
- Records production information on daily reports
- Moves control switches to check and reset machines
- Records inventory transactions using the Bar Code Inventory system
- Supplies components to hoppers, indexing poles or conveyors.
- Any other duties assigned by supervisor
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:
- High School Diploma
- Six months minimum experience in manufacturing
- Ability to complete manual or computer production records.
- Ability to do basic calculations and measurements.
- Ability to develop knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses, minor adjustments and maintenance.
- Ability to use basic measuring tools, micrometers, calipers and gauges with training.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions, and safety rules.
- Ability to participate effectively in small group discussion for continuous improvement activities, contribute to on-going 5-S efficiencies, and communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers on work assignments, problems/issues and training on new processes.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision after training is complete.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Repetitive bending, turning and twisting 8-12 hours a day
- Strict attention to quality and safety.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently.
