Light Industrial Assembler
Job Description
Candidates will be responsible for assembling food manufacturing equipment by hand using air and hand tools. Tasks include the use of screwdrivers, drills, tape measures, and other tools. Parts typically weigh 10 lbs or less, but can be up to 30 lbs. Responsibilities also include the mechanical assembly of small-scale products to be shipped out to end users, electrical wiring, and testing of parts in the roller grill department. Ensuring the production line meets output requirements and being open to overtime are also important aspects of the role.
Responsibilities
Assemble food manufacturing equipment by hand using air and hand tools.
Use screwdrivers, drills, tape measures, and other tools.
Handle parts typically weighing 10 lbs or less, with some parts up to 30 lbs.
Perform mechanical assembly of small-scale products for shipment.
Conduct electrical wiring and testing of parts in the roller grill department.
Ensure the production line meets output requirements.
Be available for overtime as needed.
Essential Skills
Experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
Proficiency with hand and power tools (drill, screwdriver, crimper, pliers).
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted.
Familiarity with CNC laser, CNC mill, press brake, spot welding, and blueprint reading.
Mechanical and electrical assembly skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous assembly experience.
Experience with brake press operations.
Ability to read blueprints.

Work Environment
Work in a mid-size manufacturing company in the machine building space, with a clean environment and an older building style feel. The company is expanding to add more space. Training for the night shift will be on the day shift for 2-3 weeks. The company operates on a 4-10's schedule with 1st and 3rd shifts. The 3rd shift starts on Monday night to allow employees to spend full weekends with their families. The schedule includes unpaid lunch breaks for day shifts and paid lunch breaks for night shifts. Most areas work 40-45 hours, with additional overtime available in the roller grill areas. Employees can wear one earbud to listen to their own music, alongside overhead radios. The dress code includes tasteful shirts, shorts, jeans, etc., with no steel toe required.
