Sterling Engineering is looking for a hands on Product Assembler Manager for a leading provider of stainless steel motors in Rio Rancho, NM. This opportunity is with a company that truly believes in promoting from within.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee and lead a team of assembly technicians, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
  • Provide hands-on assistance to the team, especially during peak production periods or complex assembly tasks.
  • Prioritize safety by enforcing protocols and conducting regular safety audits to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Train and onboard new team members, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • Schedule and assign tasks efficiently to meet production targets and optimize resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for process optimization and implement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and recognize and reward outstanding performance.
  • Enforce strict quality standards, ensuring that all products meet specifications and customer requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve assembly issues promptly, minimizing downtime and production delays.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, or technical/trade school training in metal manufacturing preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, and knowledge of assembly processes and production workflows.
  • Proven leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate, inspire, and mentor team members.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
