Position SummaryThe Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling a wide variety of gear boxes. These gear boxes are assembled using high quality components and following engineering designs. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor. Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform efficiently all operations necessary to assemble, test and ship speed reducers
- Comply with all ISO 9001 assembly quality procedures
- Read and interpret assembly routers and drawings
- Able to place component parts into storage system
- Able to produce quality work and exercise judgment on quality acceptability
- Capable of performing at rates set by pre-determined time standards
- Able to perform in a team environment
- Required following all safety rules, use of proper PPE, and report any safety concerns
Experience and Education Required
- High school education or equivalent.
- Ability to effectively use basic hand tools.
- Ability to follow both verbal and written communication.
- Forklift Certified.
- Microsoft D365 Knowledge preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 25 lbs continuously and 50 lbs occasionally.
- Requires standing continuously and walking occasionally throughout the day up to ten hours.
