Job OverviewTE Connectivity's Assembly Teams operate assigned automated assembly machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.Job Description: TE Connectivity's Production Operator I, will assemble fabricated relays, as specified by work orders, diagrams, or layout: Aligns and clamps parts together, using rule, square, or hand tools, or positions items in fixtures, jigs, or vise. Performs duties while paying attention to quality and detail. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures. Responsibilities & Qualifications:• General Understanding of Job and utilization of standard work and visual charts. • Previous experience of cable preparation, wiring stripping, laying, quality control procedures, techniques and test methods required in the manufacture of wire harness and relays. • Experience of wire termination to solder and crimp contacts, screen and wire termination using Solder Sleeve devices and connector assembly.• Experience of final harness assembly braid, tubing and molded parts adaptors.• Assembled and aligned parts and fixtures using hand and power tools. • Inspected all work for quality and compliance with design standards. • Performs in-process and final inspection of relay & wire harness to ensure that QIP specifications are met, and that product is processed to print requirements.• Prepare cables for epoxy and PU molding and rubber molding. • Perform oil fill on special cabling. Perform Armor/Kevlar termination. Complete all tasks needed from start to finish cable assemblies.• Soldering and de-soldering of our products• Follow detailed blueprints, schematics instructions, processes, and procedures to build our product.• Be cognizant of Company's ISO 9001-2008 QMS Policy and procedures; their relevance and importance in daily activities and strive to continually contribute to the achievement of the quality objectives.• Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.• Notify management of any production abnormality or unsafe condition and/or practiceWhat your background should look like:Requirements/Education:• High School Diploma or GED.• 1 year manufacturing experience required.• SAP experience is preferred but not required. • Familiarity with ISO 9001• Working knowledge of hand tools• A safe quality conscious attitude working in a team environment. • Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English.• Attention to detail is imperative.• Ability to read blueprints and detailed drawings.• Understand military specifications a plus.• Good written and oral communication skills• Team Player: willing to help production team to complete assigned tasks.• Will work overtime to support production goals as needed.CompetenciesValues: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, TeamworkABOUT TE CONNECTIVITYTE Connectivity is a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive, and connected future.
