Assembly OperatorShift/Hours: ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE1st shift =Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM-2:00 PM2nd shift = Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM3rd shift = Monday - Friday 10:00 PM - 6:00 AMPay Rate: $15/hrLocation: Moraine, Ohio 45439Experience: Entry level, 6 months +Goals and Objectives of position:Completes assembly and packaging processes according to established operating procedures performing the following:Duties and Responsibilities:Create high quality assembled automotive parts in a safe and efficient manner, meeting various scheduled shift quotas.Manage inventory following established guidelines and procedures including labeling and locating parts, picking parts from appropriate locations in specified quantities to fill baskets, delivering parts to work areas and recording and communicating inventory levels.Read, learn and interpret blueprints and work instructions and other instructions, both written and verbal, to complete assembly of products or components according to the established guidelines and quality standardsInspect and test parts and products as necessary, during or after assembly, according to established guidelines and quality standards.Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment according to maintenance and 6s standards.Practice problem solving and troubleshooting techniques as part of a team responsible for realizing continuous improvement to product and procedures.Maintain a positive work atmosphereQualifications, Knowledge and Skills:High school diploma or general education diploma (GED), 2-5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to present information in one on one and small group situationsAbility to compute rate, ratio and percent. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measureAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standard situations.Must be willing to learn and practice continuous improvement techniques such as 5s, one piece flow, set up reduction, etc.Work Environment:The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical partsThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
