Effective w/e 11/25 all new starts for Boonton will havea 30% increase
to their base pay to cover the client's compensationpackage. Please inform the contractor that at conversion they will lose their30% increase but will gain their benefits including PTO and Holiday pay.
This is due to the new law passed in NJ.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs repair, rework and modifications on thru-holeand surface-mount modules. Applies exceptional hand-soldering skills onthru-hole and surface mount boards. Trains assemblers on new methods forefficient repair and rework of products. Assembles printed circuit boards,thru-hole and surface-mount, utilizes various manufacturing tools and equipmentincluding microscope. Use work order package and utilize on-line bar codereporting system for labor and manufacturing quantities.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Assembles and wires basic and complex electronic boards,thru-hole and surface-mount, and equipment following assembly documentation.
Analyzes assembly errors and develops procedures andsolutions to efficiently rework boards at minimum cost.
Performs repairs to printed circuit boards, reworksdefective manufacturing assemblies and refurbishes used assemblies.
Responsible for modifying printed circuit boards perengineering change notices.
Assembles prototype boards for Engineering.
Operates riveting machine and utilizes hand and powertools.
Trains other assemblers on soldering, assembling, reworkand repair.
Uses work order package and on-line bar code reportingsystem for labor and manufacturing quantities.
Works overtime as required.
Strives to meet prescribed quality standards in an ISOenvironment.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of 5 years electronic assembly experience.
Must be able to read blueprints and schematics, identifycomponents and color codes.
Must be creative in troubleshooting and/or repairingassemblies.
Requires excellent soldering skills with thru-hole andsurface-mount components.
Must be cooperative and have good communication skills.
