Assembly Team Lead - 2nd Shift (Saugerties, NY) The Assembly Team Lead - 2nd Shiftis responsible for providing direction on the shop floor to the production assemblers to meet the daily output targets. This position is the key point of contact between the different functions with the focus of maintaining flow of product. The team leader is responsible for training the assembly processes, ensuring all assemblers can meet the quality standard. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes the production plan through directing a team of production assemblers. Accountable for meeting daily / weekly production output.
  • Drives a safety-first culture within the team and lead by example.
  • Facilitates training for the production assembly team, provides supervision and guidance to production assemblers as required.
  • Communicates progress updates and manages troubleshooting across teams and functional areas.
  • Maintains an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment & walkways.
  • Participates and contributes in continuous improvement projects to drive efficiency.
  • Maintains a positive team moral with an open atmosphere of team work and cooperation.
  • Acts as the subject expert for assembly processes.
  • Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance; works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
  • Responsible for Labor Transaction Maintenance funcitons for team and Encompix on routing operations.
  • Responsible for Perfomance Managment Cycle for all direct staff.
  • Respectfully takes direction from the Production Manager and other duties as assigned.
Education Level:
  • High School diploma minimum, Associate degree is a benefit.
Relevant Previous Experience:
  • 3-5 years assembly experience required.
  • 1-3 years of lead or supervisory experience
Knowledge Areas/Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and diagrams.
  • Experience with hand tools and small power tools.
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to lead and supervise a small group.
  • Good communication skills, ability to motivate and build team moral.
  • Knowledge of Encompix and ERP systems beneficial.
Salary Range: $32 - $36 per hour Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. #UWX What you can expect from us:
