Job Description:
Building assemblies and sub-assemblies into housings to be used for radiation detection.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Leak testing cryostats, dewars, etc.
  • Building and evacuation of various cryogenics hardware.
  • Cleaning hardware.
  • Soldering.
  • Follow priority schedules.
  • Epoxying feedthrus and Be windows.
  • Maintaining stocks / supplies.
  • Maintaining Equipment.
  • Work with Engineering to identify and correct problems.
  • Inspect manufactured items for cosmetics, workmanship, soldering, conformance to drawings, and quality standards.
  • Verify proper revision levels and markings per prints.
  • Assist team members and provide support.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
  • Building sub-assemblies
  • Cycle Counts
  • 6S
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mechanical ability.
  • Ability to follow blueprints and written procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and components.
  • Good math skills.
  • Knowledge of metric measurements.
  • Ability to handle chemicals safely.
  • Very good soldering skills.
  • Knowledge and use of basic hand tools.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Basic vacuum and leak testing knowledge.
  • Inspection experience, some microscope usage.
AMOUNT OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Two+ years mechanical assembly or related manufacturing experience.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
