The Coupling Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling all types of products processed through the coupling department as well as assisting with all supporting operations within the department.Responsibilities:
- Perform various assembly steps for coupling products. Be able to check all parts for proper assembly in accordance with standard operating procedures and drawings.
- Will understand and be competent in all supporting operations within the coupling department, including inventory, Laser operation, ship preparation, and kitting.
- Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
- Understand and demonstrate an ability to work with and track Lot numbers and understand how to use and print job travelers, pick lists, and check lists.
- Capable of operating all assembly production equipment.
- Review technician's equipment operation to ensure compliance with procedure.
- Knowledgeable of all associated precision measuring tools of the shop.
- Supports and assists with equipment PM program.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Preferred: Zero to 10 years (depending on level) experience in precision mechanical assembly roles. Oil field equipment experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude.

- Ability to read and write effectively in English.
- Ability to translate work instructions and understand details associated with the manufacturing assortment of documents types: instructions, correspondence, reports, procedures and memorandums.
- Experience in an Engineer-to-Order or Make-to-Order shop environment preferred.
- Proven ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Commitment to high quality standards and continuous improvements.
- Excellent Written, Verbal, and Mathematical Skills.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is primarily in the office performing work on a computer. Employee will be required to walk and be on the manufacturing floor.
