Assembly TechnicianThe Opportunity:As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for building mechanical and electrical assemblies for our government and military customers by following production procedures.Our Technology: Safran Federal Systems provides Resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing (R-PNT) solutions and custom engineering services to U.S. Government agencies, defense organizations and their contractors. Safran Federal Systems is authorized to work on the full spectrum of U.S. Government classified and unclassified projects, inaddition to supporting strategic partnerships for key defense PNT technologies.How I Will Contribute:
  • Build mechanical assemblies using simple hand tools, power tools, and calibrated tools
  • Soldering electrical components
  • Complete rework/repair for units that do not meet test specifications
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineer to improve assembly process
  • Follow ESD guidelines to keep components safe from damage
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Moving assemblies to the next stage of production
What you bring to the role:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years prior assembly experience
  • J-STD-001 certification desired
  • Ability to be agile and have fun!
