About EverCharge EverCharge is a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging devices and management systems and provides hardware and software EV charging solutions for fleets, multi-unit, and single-family homes. Location: HaywardOur Assembly Technician Will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting chargers. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical assembly and a passion for advancing green technology. Responsibilities:
- Conduct tests on assembled chargers to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance with industry standards. Identify and address any issues or defects.
- Diagnose and repair any assembly issues or malfunctions during the assembly process, working closely with engineering and quality teams to implement solutions.
- Accurately record assembly processes, test results, and any modifications made during the assembly. Maintain thorough documentation for quality control and auditing purposes.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or concerns immediately.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency. Provide feedback to engineering teams on design improvements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and production, to ensure seamless integration of assembly processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical assembly, preferably within the EV or automotive industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions. Strong understanding of electrical components and systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to electrical components.
- Relevant certifications in electrical assembly or manufacturing are a plus.
Job Title and Compensation:
- The base compensation range for this position is between $20.00 and $30.00 an hour, based on full-time employment.
