Assembly Technician

Flowserve is seeking an Assembly Technician for their manufacturing facility in Taneytown, MD.

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling rotating equipment and will work on a diverse range of product lines. They will select and use appropriate inspection equipment, check dimensions and drawings of all critical components as required during the assembly process. Additionally, the Technician will perform precision pump assembly and disassembly, utilize precision measuring equipment, and follow all work instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform precision pump assembly and disassembly per bill of materials and operation method sheets
• Use precision measuring equipment and read and interpret blueprints
• Install piping plans and set seals to match drawings
• Move materials and parts to and from work areas
• Operate overhead and jib cranes to lift and move heavy parts

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years' experience in general mechanics or specialized training
• Ability to read and comprehend precision measuring equipment
• Good mechanical ability and manual dexterity
