Job Description:
Summary Responsibilities include assembly of new and existing products; utilize mechanical knowledge and precision to fine tune and adjust packaging systems. Responsibilities
  • Perform assembly, testing and preparing of packaging systems for delivery to the end user with a strong focus on quality control. This production and/or testing will encompass all systems offered by MPI; manufactured directly by MPI and value-added reseller or integrated systems
  • Assembly will include building of subassemblies and complete units from samples, models, verbal instructions and/or assembly diagrams.
  • Monitor inventory.
Requirements Skills, Experience and Requirements
  • Two or more years' experience and aptitude in manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields required
  • Possess basic electrical, strong mechanical, and quality control skills
  • Solder
  • Must be very organized, reliable, honest and dependable
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions explained verbally; represented on drawings; and in written procedures
  • Must have excellent manual dexterity
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Machine shop and metal working skills are a plus, but not required
Education and Training
  • High School Diploma or similar required
  • Technical Degree or Certification a plus
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • This job operates in a Manufacturing and production/assembly environment. This role uses shop equipment, power tools and hand tools. Long periods of standing; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
  • This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Travel
  • Local travel to perform pick up and deliveries. Valid driver's license is required.
